10 Smartphone Apps For Earning Money
Here are just a few of the apps you can use to earn money with:
1 – Ibotta
Over the last few years, Ibotta has quickly grown into one of the most popular, most downloaded shopping apps you can earn from. While there are now several different ways to earn with Ibotta, my favorite is to just use it for grocery shopping.
I check their offers each week and see if there is anything I'd like to buy that they have listed. If there is, you just buy it and scan your receipt. Ibotta will put the cash back amount they advertised into your account.
You can redeem your earnings once you have $20 in your account. Paypal is a popular option, but you can also get a variety of different gift cards. I've been using Ibotta for a long time now, and I've been paid many times.

2 – SavingStar
SavingStar is very similar to Ibotta, listed above. The main difference is that SavingStar works primarily by allowing you to connect your grocery store loyalty cards to their app. Then, when you buy certain things and your loyalty card was scanned, SavingStar will know it and put the cash back amount they advertise into your account.
You can get paid once you have at least $20 in your account. SavingStar will send the money to your bank account, or you can request a Paypal deposit. Another option is to donate your earnings to charity.

3 – Swagbucks
While you probably know Swagbucks primarily as a popular rewards site, they do have a really, really good app as well. Basically, you can do all the things via the app that you might do with Swagbucks on the web.
With the app, you can earn money for shopping, watching videos, and also for taking surveys.
Swagbucks is known for having a low, $5 cash out threshold. You can redeem for a variety of different things, including Paypal money or Amazon codes.

4 – Field Agent
This one is now for both Android and iPhone users. Download the app free and check it regularly for odd jobs in your area. You may be asked to take pictures of store displays, store hours, or even answer surveys at home about various products you use.
Payment is direct deposit to your bank account.

5 – Gigwalk
Gigwalk is a lot like Field Agent. You get paid to do short little jobs around your town, things that don't take up a lot of time. Payment is through Paypal and jobs pay between $3 and $50. You can use it with both iPhone and Android devices.

6 – ShopKick
Download this app for free and turn it on when you go shopping. Scan the products it tells you to scan and you'll earn “kicks” that you can redeem for different things.
You can also earn for scanning and submitting receipts of things you buy and for walking (or “checking in”) to stores you visit.
You can use Shopkick for Apple or Android devices.

8 – EasyShift
If you have an Apple or Android device, you can use EasyShift to get paid to shop, eat, and explore in your city. Another plus, this one is open to people in the US and the UK!
The tasks you do are easy. Most of the time it's taking pictures of products in stores, checking prices, and things like that.
You should be eligible for a payment 48 hours after your completed tasks are approved. Payments are sent via Paypal.

9 – Rewardable
Rewardable is like a cross between the Swagbucks app and EasyShift or Field Agent (listed above). You can earn the same ways you can on Swagbucks — at home — doing surveys, watching videos, etc. But you can also use it outside your home to do tasks in stores and give product feedback to earn.
The app is available for Apple or Android devices. They pay via Paypal fairly promptly from what I've been reading after you've completed tasks.

10 – FeaturePoints
This is another good app that I've used and been paid by. You can use them to do the typical things like surveys and cash back shopping. You can also earn by downloading and trying out new apps.
FeaturePoints pays in gift cards, including Amazon and Paypal. If you are wanting your cash paid to Paypal, you'll have to wait until you have 6000 points in your account (the equivalent of $10).
Read our FeaturePoints review to learn more about how this works.
And that wraps up our list of ten great smartphone apps that pay. Do you know of any more that I don't have mentioned? I would love to hear about how you earn money or “extras” with your smartphone!
